Vehicle Detail

Offered at no reserve is my 1996 Saab 900 Turbo SE convertible in a brilliant red. Definitely not the car for the shy, retiring type; I promise that you will be noticed. If you like to cruise the hangouts on a warm Friday night, this is your chariot. The car has approximately 173,000 miles, but ask any Saab owner about how these cars last. I drove it about 11,000 miles during the past two years, most of this was highway miles. The car has been constantly maintained in good repair throughout it’s life. Most recently - New tires in June, 2012 - Replaced the ignition switch in June, 2013 Like every 27 year old car, this one comes with its share of blemishes. There are some minor parking lot dents and scratches. There are also a few things that are currently inoperable like the driver side seat pull and the power antenna (still receive stations). The A/C quit blowing cold late last fall, so I let it go. I do have the radio code for it, along the leather case containing the owner’s manual and other goodies. One more issue — the car has a slow drain on the battery. If the car sits for less than a week, no problem. But if it sits for a couple of weeks, you may need to put it on a charger for an hour before it will start. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a lot to like for the Saab aficionado. This model is considered by many to be one of the World's most reliable performance convertibles. The rich Sand Beige leather interior exudes style, although it’s starting to show minor wear in some areas. And of course, the convertible top is completely power and self-enclosed, operating with simply a touch of a button. The car looks good and was my daily driver through last December. It has sat since then only because I moved from Indiana to Florida and have no room for it. You will need to factor in that it has sat for four months and it will need a thorough going over. Because of this, I would not want to drive it any distance. It is in Terre Haute, Indiana at Don’s Service Center. Don and his staff and highly skilled with repairing and maintaining European cars and he knows Saabs. I will work with the winning bidder to make arrangements for picking it up. The Saab comes with a clean Indiana title. Say good bye to winter and hello to cruising season with this future classic. No reserve. TERMS: Please read carefully, your bid indicates you have agreed to all of the following. Of course the Saab is sold AS IS, WHERE IS with absolutely no warranty. It's now at Don’s Service Center, in Terre Haute Indiana, just a few miles north of I-70. The buyer will have full responsibility for shipping and will trailer it home or arrange for a shipper. Yes, it can be driven, but it’s been sitting since late December, so I’d be concerned about driving any distance. A non-refundable deposit of $500 US must be received within 48 hours of the end of the auction. Payment in full must be received within seven calendar days after the close of the auction and must be removed within fourteen calendar days. Bidders with less than a feedback score of ten may have their bid cancelled if they do not send me a message through eBay before bidding. Just tell me that your serious; there's a lot of nonsense going on with car auctions -- witness the number of ones relisted. Also this is an auction. Hate to go all kindergarten on you, but winner agrees to buy the item for the high bid. The winner is not acquiring a right of first refusal. If your thing is to show up, pick every nit you can find and then attempt to renegotiate the price, you will regret making the trip. Check my feedback, I conduct this my dealings honorably and have done so since 1997. Bid with integrity -- Given the rise in dishonorable bidders, I reserve the right to cancel any bid and close the auction early. Your bid indicates that you have read and accepted these terms. Go for it!
