Vehicle Detail
On offer today is a beautiful 1967 Mustang which was outfitted from the factory with the desirable GTA package. The GTA package was a one year package for 1967 which was only obtained if the customer ordered a GT car with an automatic transmission. The car seen here, as per Marti Report, was LOADED from the factory with the GT Equipment group, C-4 Select Shift Cruise-O-Matic transmission, Courtesy Light Group, Rocker Panel Moldings, Deluxe Steering Wheel, Power Steering, Air Conditioning, Tinted Glass, Deluxe Seat Belts, and more! The car was scheduled for build on October 4, 1966 and received the venerable Ford 289 in "A-code" specification. This spec'd the car with a 4 barrel carburetor. Over the last few years, the prior owner took it upon himself to unleash the potential of that motor and make the car into a fabulous driver. The car currently sports an Edelbrock carb and an aluminum intake. The car also has headers and a mild cam. Due to the cam, the car is a bit cold blooded on start up but after a minute or so it settles in nicely and is a joy to drive. All the modifications combine to make a car that sounds "the business". The car performs very well and will, no doubt, be an excellent car for spring and summer cruising. The C-4 transmission shifts into every gear smoothly and seamlessly and the power steering works like a charm. The car also runs cool and has never given any indication that it will run hot in the spring or summer time. I have driven the car about 100 miles since I have had it and it has performed flawlessly. The car does not currently have its factory A/C setup installed, however, factory A/C is a rare option for 1967 and helps the car's collectability. If the new owner were to choose to install A/C, he would absolutely have a perfect car for casual shows and cruises. As far as the body, the car currently still sports its original quarter panels as well as its original floors. If you are looking for a solid 67 Mustang, you have found it. While this is certainly no concours pony, it is a rust free unibody car which has not had a massive amount of metal replacement like so many other Mustangs out there. It is not a pieced together car by any means. The paint on this car is also one of its best attributes. The car was stripped to bare metal 4-5 years ago and given a complete respray. The attractive coat of original Lime Gold Metallic shows well today and is more than suitable for a local car show or cruise night. The chrome also shows very well. Cosmetically, the car is "all there" and ready to go! The interior on this car is also in wonderful shape. While the interior does have a good amount of original parts, the back seat is very nice and the front bucket seats have just been freshly reupholstered. The car has also just recently had a brand new deluxe steering wheel added, a high dollar piece which feels great in hand while driving the car. Further, the car has its original Carlite glass which is not something you often see on Mustangs like this! As far as negatives, this car has very few but I do try to describe everything I sell as fairly as I can. The passenger door is a little "out" on the bottom left hand corner and could use adjusting. The glass on the passenger side has some frosting along the bottom but it is original glass so it is best not to replace. You will be driving this car with the windows down so it hardly matters. Finally, the passenger side quarter window needs a new regulator, an easy fix but it does need to be done. Thanks so much for giving this Mustang a look and please let me know if you have any questions at all. The car is listed locally so I reserve the right to end the eBay auction at any time. We are very reasonable on reserve and would be willing to discuss a "buy it now" price with any interested buyers. Please do not bid on the car if you do not intend to purchase it. Also, please no 0 feedback bidders unless you contact me first. The car is located in Overland Park, KS which is a suburb of Kansas City. We welcome any interested parties to inspect the car in person here at our showroom! Please feel free to call Vernon at 913.687.1668 with any inquiries and please enjoy the MANY MORE PICTURES at the bottom of this ad!
