The following asset is being offered for sale via internet auction pursuant to an order by the United States Bankruptcy Court For The District of Maryland. Case 13-29607-WIL Cheryl E. Rose-Trustee. N. T. Arrington-Sales Agent Asset is located in Northern Virginia 25 miles west of Washington D.C. Asset Description- Debtor purchased the car from California and brought it East years ago. Built in the 60's. All steel 3 Window Rumble Seat Coupe. Title documents indicate 25455 miles-however TRUE MILES UNKNOWN. It is equipped with a 1953 331 Hemi Engine. Motor No. C53-8-18049 along with Cast Aluminum Weiand Intake manifold with repair made on one mounting corner. Eddie Edmunds Aluminum Valve Covers, Twin 4 BL Eldebrock Carburetors. Ignition is supplied with Vortex Magneto-which was recently overhauled. Transmission appears to be an Early GM 4 Speed unit-possibly Pontiac-Coupled through an adaptor plate. Positraction Rear End appears to be a GM unit. Front Axle appears to be 46-48 Ford Era with backing plates and drum brakes along with a steering stabilizer and period era tow bar.. I cannot identify the manual.steering box. Cloth interior door panels and 64-65 era Mustang bucket seats and a early GM-possibly Chevrolet- Steering wheel. Dash is fitted with magneto kill switch. Turn signals are routed through the cowl lamps. Clutch is actuated by a hydraulic slave cylinder. Brakes are operational-although somewhat spongy. No Power Steering-Heat or A/C. Body and frame are solid with nice fitting doors and rear deck lid. Bottom seat cushion for rumble seat is missing. We had the car trucked in from debtors residence and have started it up and moved it around warehouse after having the magneto rebuilt. The car feels to have a strong clutch-however we have not taken it out on the highway. A 2013 "Jalopyrama" Hot Rod Show entry sticker is still affixed to the headlights from when it was entered in 2013. The car conveys with a set of period hood side panels engineered to clear the hemi valve covers. Spare tire wheel wells are intact-however no spare wheels and tires convey. The floor /undercariage and ladder rails are in solid shape considering the age of the car. Oil pressure gauge indicates 50 lbs of oil at idle. Old California Insurance Decal is evident on passenger glass which is cracked. Some paint is lifting off one front fender-car appears to have been black before being repainted light blue.Only 2 hubcaps present. Car is equipped with a AM/FM radio which appears to be disconnected.
