here for your consideration is an unmolested low mileage time warp condition example of Peugeot's iconic 504 wagon. this vehicle has under 43,000 original miles.. most unusual as most of these cars tended to get used heavily and covered large mileages (my last one had over 554,000 miles on it before It found a new owner) this car has its original folder with owners manual, service book etc. be aware that this car has sat, unused for the best part of 10years. there are a few dings and dents here and there on the car. registration status is 'non op' with no back fees. to pay, the tag on the licence plate is dated 1996. I fitted new battery and starter motor, checked and topped up the fluids as neccessary and road tested it on my 1/2 mile long driveway..it goes and stops and the trans shifts smoothly thorough all gears..no unusaul noises ..all consistent with a low mileage car that has been very well looked after. The indirect injection normally aspirated diesel engines starts right up from cold after the glow plugs have done their bit.. no hesitation or misfires.. instant start once it turns over..hot or cold. there is a tear along the stitching of central seam of the drivers seat base..otherwise interior is exceptionally good. Due to age of vehicle. it is sold 'as is, where is' no warranty expressed or implied. Can you sleep in it ? yes..the drivers handbook explains how :-Move the front seats forward..fold the rear seats down..and you have a long flat space that will accommodate even tall people to stretch out in. Would it drive to NM ? I don't know.. you might want to change all fluids and fit new tires first..it would be wise to replace belts and hoses too I'd think.. it has sat in storage for over 10 years...sold as is where is due to age and non use status. whilst these cars are formidably strong and durable.. they need to be maintained properly to avoid possible 'issues'. NO.. it does not ..sold new locally here in sunny Ca and never left the state .(the first place to look would be the tailgate.. which is 'as new' ..not even a single rust bubble). the right inner fender behind the suspension strut that looks to be rust is in fact dirt .. I have not done anything towards 'detailing' the car, nor any 'clean up' ..simply hosed it off and lightly vacuumed the inside .. I don't have ownership history ..it was sold to me with title signed off via 'power of attorney' by a relative of the previous long term owner.. who had been unable to drive for some time due to age related issues.. its a car that stands on its own merit .. a remarkable condition 'survivor' .. I'd think very few remain in this condition..Ive never seen one with such low mileage..ever If time permits I will do more to car .. I plan to change engine oil and filter at some point this week ... selling only as I don't have any real use for it ..but quite happy to keep it if it does not sell.
