Honda also produced the Rebel 450 during years 1986 and 1987. Controversy with Harley Davidson, because of their look and sound and subsequent law suit, were the reasons for discontinuing both models after 1987. Honda resumed production of the Rebel 250 in 1996 and continues to produce them to this day. However, many believe that the 85', 86' and 87' models are the most desirable because of their distinctive look and history. The Rebel 450 was never resurrected and in time may become a collector’s item This bike is ideal for the new rider because of its lower stance, allowing just about any rider to have both feet flat on the ground while stopped.
