The Exterior Paint is very presentable, not brand new, older yet very respectable with only a few nicks and minor blemishes. The Body is very nice and straight and from everything we can determine it is an UNHIT body. The rear inner wheel well lips have been shaven down at some point for wider tires ...but not seen unless you feel directly under the lip. The Door, Hood and Headlight bucket gaps all have an excellent fit and finish. The Exterior Chrome, Stainless and Emblems, Trim all have a very respectable finish. The Exterior door handles show some mild wear as do the front and rear bumpers but by no means do they need to be replaced. The Electric Headlight buckets go up and down effortlessly and the fit and gaps also line up nicely. The Headlight Bucket fit is usually a dead giveaway on cars which have had collision damage to the front nose as the fiberglass would shatter and the buckets would never have a factory fit. The Corvette has a nice stance on period correct knock off wheels and brand new Gold Line Radial Tires. The Power Antenna works fine. The Convertible Top Canvas is in very nice condition. The Top goes up and down effortlessly and the Bows and mechanism have been nicely refinished. The Auxiliary Hardtop is as well in nice condition and typically adds an incremental $5000.00 in value to cars... when both tops are available. There is some small cracking in the rear plexi glass on the hardtop. The Interior is mostly original materials....the door panels were taken off and are original with the vapor barrier still in place, the dash pads appear to be original along with the seat covers. There are a few small areas of wear in the interior but only minor ...a small crack on the drivers side armrest and the piping on the drivers side seat is separating but nothing too serious. The Gauges all work and are in original and unrestored condition. The Original Radio and Clock even works...very uncommon! The Seat Belts look original and correct...date coded. The Teak Wheel (like the used to make them in 8 pieces) is original to the car and in good condition. Many very correct components on this car right down to the T-3 Headlight Bulbs. The 427 Engine was the top dog in 1966 and when you put your foot into...you know its a big block! It shifts effortlessly, is very responsive on the accelerator and has nice tight steering. The Beautifully detailed Engine Compartment and chassis show pride of ownership and maintenance. The Chassis is Original and again very clean, tidy and unmolested. This Corvette is certainly worthy of being in anyones Corvette or Muscle Car Collection as cars of this calibre, history and quality or becoming more uncommon.
