Vehicle Detail

1941 Chevrolet Business Coupe I traded for this car about 3 1/2 years ago from the original owner/builder. I have a clear Kansas title in my name ready to sign over. I haven't driven the car very much. It stays in my garage on blocks so the tires won't get flat spots. The car does have a few small chips and blemishes, but it shows very well. The car seems to me to be well built with quality parts. My insurance company has it insured for over $52,000. The underside of the car looks just as nice as the top. The few things that I know of that don't work are the remote door opener and the speedometer. They're probably easy fixes, but I'll leave that to you. Additional photos are available here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/124142066@N08/sets/72157644342810275/ We just pulled the car out of the garage and cleaned it up to go to a car show this weekend. We drove down the block and were coming back when the transmission started to slip (car slowed down and wouldn't speed up when given more throttle) so we pulled into the driveway and shut it off. The car seems to have a good reverse but not forward gears. I really don't know what happened, it may be something simple or it may need the transmission to be rebuilt. We have decided to sell the car AS IS and let the new owner deal with the transmission problem. TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS! This car does sound and run very good; it has a nice lope to the cam. Listed below are the things that I know about the parts used on the car. I do have a large envelope of receipts from the previous owner's build. Also in the envelope is a National Street Rod Association Vehicle Safety Inspection dated Sept. 23, 2005. 468 Big Block350 Automatic Transmission with 2300 StallLokar Shift with Lockout (Floor Shifter)Air Ride Technologies air bag system-bags on front and back with independent control for each bagAll Steel Construction-No FiberglassTilt Steering ColumnCool Cap gas cap with wrench that fits key ringShaved Door HandlesTinted Safety Glass (not cheap plastic film)V-butt WindshieldMallory IgnitionMallory Promaster CoilOffenhauser Intake Manifold2 600 CFM Weber Edelbrock 4-barrel CarburetorsGen II Vintage Air ConditioningCenter Line Convo Pro Wheels: Front 4"x15"x4.5" and Rear 21.5x31 12"x15"x5"Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires on rear 33x21.5x15LTNova Metric Radial tires on front 165R15Built by Hot Rods by DavisWooden Grant Steering WheelMustang II Front Cross Member9" Ford Rear End with 350 gearsMoser AxlesFront and Rear Ford Disk BrakesPower SteeringDual Exhaust16 Gallon Fuel TankGriffin RadiatorAluminum High Volume Water PumpSeats from a Ford UltraStar Van covered in Tan TweedMr. Gasket Door Kit and Trunk ControlHolley Electric Fuel PumpValkyrie Honda Motorcycle HeadlightsTan Tweed and Vinyl UpholsteryTan Carpeting and Floor Mats No Reserve.
