This is a 1982 Honda cb900f supersport with 5472 miles on it. This bike has sat on and off for a number years which is why the miles are so low. It was owned by a friend of my brothers who purchased it new in 1982 for transportation while living on base in the Marine Corps. He rode it for about four years and upon leaving the Marines put in in storage in PA, it sat there for about fourteen years until my brother purchased it in November of 1999. My brother then had it serviced, which included changing oil, sealing gas tank, servicing brakes and changing brake fluid, replacing choke cable and throttle cables as they were seized, hand grips having carburetors cleaned and the bike tuned. he rode it for about two years and began having issues with fuel from rust in tank and inferior sealing job. At this point the bike was placed in storage till 2008 when a friend of his expressed interest in getting it running again, carburetors were then rebuilt and tank was cleaned and tires replaced. He ran it again for yet another failure, due to extreme rust and sealing peeling of and blocking petcock in tank. Spring 2014 purchased used tank from ebay which appears to have been sealed, paint is a different shade of silver and tank has a dent on right side near seat. Carburetors have been cleaned, Oil and filter changed, new Interstate battery installed, new air filter installed, new ebc brake pads installed front and rear, calipers have been serviced front and rear and master cylinders front and rear have also been serviced. The front brake lever has a slight bend as the bike tipped over while in storage and the front fender has some damage from my brothers pitbull dog chewing it while in storage. The bike is road ready or would make a perfect full restoration due to the fact that it has low miles, is mostly original and has had only two owners. Please look at pics carefully before bidding.
