Vehicle Detail

This is a 1968 Triumph Trophy TR6. Nice original condition. Basement Find. We got this from a older gentleman, who had been riding Triumphs since the 1970's. This had been stored in his walk out basement since the 1990's. He had the heads reworked and never did finish putting it back together. The engine is out of the bike. As you can see in the pictures the engine has a piece missing from the case, (the infamous broken chain hitting the case.) Engine also has a broken jug fin. After talking with Triumph restoration folks, this is not an uncommon problem and both can be fixed by a experienced aluminum welder. We have the oil tank, tool tank, a battery box, all the foot pegs, all the head bolts, exhaust headers, one pea shooter, heads, carburetor and a brand new chain. Couldn't find the rear motor mounts. The oil tank top hanger was braised to keep it fastened (see pic) Dunlop rims with old tires are on it. It's wearing it's original color blue with silver trim and original seat. It has all cables, horns, front and back lights and both kick stands. Original tank with badges, knee pads and grocery rack is present. Tack and speedometer with 12,035 miles on it. That is probably correct as he had 3 other bikes I know of. It also has both keys. Front and rear brakes are on it. I do not see any condition issues with the frame itself, no welds or broken spots. I am hopeful that someone can keep this old girl on the road. If you would need any more pictures or want to get a hold of me by phone the number is 712-545-9047. The bike is in Crescent Iowa, 14 miles north of Omaha Nebraska on the Iowa side. I recently got a Iowa title for the bike turning in it's original 1968 title from Nebraska. Folks, we do not end our auctions early. The bidding is open to US and International buyers with at least 10 feedbacks. Whoever wins the auction is responsible for all shipping fees and shipping arrangements. May I suggest Wolverene Transportation as they will ship bike with boxes. I can not crate the motorcycle or transport it more than a few miles or store it for an unreasonable amount of time. The winner of the auction needs to pay $500.00 US deposit through PayPal within 24 hours of auction end. Balance may be paid by cash or cashiers check before the bike is loaded. Thank you.
