1989 Chevrolet Caprice Classic This auction is for an extremely nice and clean 1989 Chevy Caprice Classic four door sedan. The car was found on a Northern Wisconsin farm and the previous owner (now 94 years old) no longer has a need for it. He is the first and only owner of this beautiful car and he took very good care of it. It was always kept in the barn and he waxed it weekly until he no longer could. He only put 54,000 miles on the car and it runs as good as it did when it was first purchased. EVERYTHING works including the Air Conditioning, trunk release, all lights, brakes – EVERYTHING. Mechanically, there isn’t a thing wrong with except that it has some old gas still in the tank that needs to be burned out – he stopped driving about 6 months ago and even before then he drove very little so I would guess he purchased the gas about 1 year ago. The car is a 5.0L 305 and it has the upgraded stereo system I believe. It’s navy blue with a blue cloth interior and the interior is absolutely amazing. The headliner is solid, all seats are solid and even the floor is solid – really nothing to point out on the inside. The exterior is still sparkly but it does have a few dings here and there and some minor surface rusting – this was, after all, a Wisconsin car. But, as you can see the rust spots are far and few between – trunk, rear quarter panel and then some along the bottom of the sides. Very minor and no major rust spots. The underbody has the typical surface rust as well, but nothing requiring attention. Looks like it has a new muffler and I just put a new battery in. The shocks and tires could be replaced because I have a feeling they might be original. I drove the car 200 miles home and it was more quiet then my 2013 truck. Absolutely no knocking or troubling sounds. If you are looking for one to customize this is it because everything is ready to go – just a little repaint work. Title is clear and free and it’s the original when he purchased it from the dealer January 1989 with only 10 miles on the odometer.
