1978 Honda CB-750F Super Sport. repainted and restored fuel Tank, 22308 original miles, has Tool Kit present and all keys work. Also has original exhaust with rust in the photo shown. Only parts not original are a new Maintenance Free battery (new this week), replaced throttle cables and a Halogen Headlight. Even has rare emblem between dual horns which is always missing on these. Also has very rare oil cooler which was optional from Honda. Tires have very little wear. This is a drive it home bike. Known issues, Update 4/20/2014 - took it out for exercise today and Speedometer quit working for no apparent reason. Have shaved $200 off price to compensate original valve train never rebuilt so has typical Honda Cold Start issue which all 1978 models had. After 2 minute warm up runs great. Fuel Tank Key dust cover missing, fell out during a fill up. Engine is missing a fin as shown in photo but does not affect performance. Was painted over long ago for looks and protection. Front fender chrome is faded so a re-chrome or replacement your choice. Spare Fender included. Original seat vinyl is torn and there is a seat cover on it, you would need to reupholster or replace the original seat to have that look original. Fork seals are due for changing, last time was 2004 so they are now 10 years old. There are some bolts and such that should be replaced to look nice. All parts are present and this bike would take very little to restore to perfect. Also comes with spare air filter element again hard to find. I also have a spare grab bar and under seat luggage box you can used to try to restore for parts. I have for the past two years driven this on weekends to keep everything running right. Before that rode almost everyday during the summer to work and back. This bike needs a dedicated owner to cherish it. They are getting harder to find and more expensive to purchase fully restored.
