Each machine is normally a trade in on a new machine. When we receive a trade in they are gone over and refurbished. Oil changes, valve adjustments, filters etc. are performed on each machine. They are then inspected for any defects. If there are any defects found, they are repaired and then test driven to make sure they are in good condition. If there are any deficiencies that are known, we disclose them to you our bidders. I want you to be satisfied with your purchase and I want nothing but great feedback. I know you can’t always please everyone, but we try our best. 1973 VW Beetle Convertible Just in time for a full season of convertible weather. This Beetle is listed as a Type 1Karmann. It has an older restoration done to it. It originally is from the west coast and was purchased by its current owner about 5 years ago. I looked under the car and it has the original floors and panels. It was pretty much a rust free car. I took pictures oif the undercarriage and the only rust repair that I was able to find was a the floor under the battery box has been patched. It is a common area and the patch was a replacement patch but it was not done perfectly. This leads me to believe that it is the only place that was patched or repaired. The rails are perfect and still have the spots welds. The paint on the car was originally light blue, but has been painted the camel color with the tan interior. Negative- 1. It has an older paint job that was not done perfectly. Some blue is evident in some of the jambs and undercarriage. I would rate the paint as a great driver paint. Not a car show paint job. 2. Chip in windshield 3. It has the original gaskets around the doors etc. They are ok but original. 4. Some new carpet but also has some original carpet that could be replaced. 5. The interior is not the original color and was painted with interior paint. They did an OK job but it was painted. 6. There is a rip on the side of the drivers seat. Positive- 1. All original parts are on the car. 2. Great driver that is sure to be a lot of fun. 3. It runs starts and rides great. 4. Chrome is nice. 5. Top is newer and in great shape. 6. Body is better than average condition. This is a great car. It is sure to meet all your expectations and be a great car to ride around in. It is priced great and will be sure to meet reserve. We have tried to describe the car as well as we can and we recommend coming over to take a look at it and take it for a ride. We try to make the price as low as possible to keep the items selling on eBay. The items are also available to buyers that come through the door. So I cannot be certain that the machine is available until the reserve is met. Once the reserve is met the bike will be marked as sold and it will then go to the highest bidder. We can only accept a bank transfer, a bank check, or a personal check as full payment for the auction. If you prefer PayPal we can accept PayPal only if you agree to pay the PayPal fees. We do not charge any documentation fees on the used bikes to out of state buyers. Unless we state that there is an existing warranty, the machines that we are offering on eBay do not typically come with warranties. If you are a Maryland buyer, you will have to pay the standard MVA fees, taxes, titling, Maryland Inspections for vehicles, etc. Other than the state fees we do not charge documentation fees.
