Vehicle Detail
1968 Volkswagen Convertible w/ dual port single carb 1600. Runs really good. It will do about 70 mph in 3rd gear. New clutch shifts very smooth through all gears w/ no pop outs. The paint in brand new but was not a very good job. Looks really good at a distance and in the pictures then it does up close and personal. The front windshield, hood, Empi rims, front and rear bumper all 4 tires and rear shocks are all brand new. Newer carpet with interior rustproofing/soundproofing was applied when the seats and carpet was professionally redone. Has low backs in it. It also has a brand new am/fm cd player that's in the glovebox. The engine runs good. The transmission shifts good. The car drives okay but will need some attention to the front end. Maybe just shocks or tie rod ends would be my guess. It's a California car with a clean title and current registration. All the lights and blinkers work. The speedo and odometer work. But I am certain the mileage has turned over. The horn was rewired and was working until it didn't want to shut off one day so it's disconnected. Now for the really bad part. The convertible top works opens and shuts but will eventually need to be replace. Its starting to show some wear. The heater/frame rails and battery tray are in really bad condition as you can see in the pictures everything else underneath seems to be pretty solid. ( please see pics ). I will be happy to answer any questions. This vehicle is not sold with any kind of warranty and it is being sold as is. So please ask any questions you may have.
