Road & Track in their debut review article wrote about the newly revised SL: "The 2003 Mercedes-Benz SL500 is a stunner both visually and technologically."  And today... it still echoes this reaction.  Here is a lovely Designo Launch Edition one owner Mercedes SL500 with only 34k miles.   The Designo SL500 was a limited production offered to introduce Mercedes newly released SL update and was about a $10k price premium.  In addition to the unique Design Silver color the cars had special wheels and were very well optioned: Nappa  black leather, wood and leather steering wheel, Alcantera headliner, heated and ventilated seats with lumbar and Multi Contour (including pulse massage) and BOSE sound,  To this day the articulated automatic hard top is a work or engineering art.   This is a local one owner well maintained Mercedes SL 500 in very nice condition.  No accidents, clean CarFax and excellent tires.
