Vehicle Detail
Up for bidding is a 2002 Dodge 3500 one ton dually with a custom made western hauler style flat bed. Truck has 345K miles on it. It has the High Output engine in it- 245HP and 505 FT/LB when bolted to the New Venture NV 5600 six speed transmission. The transmission and clutch feel great, but the truck was retired due to the front end being wore slam out, and the turbocharger rattling. The bearings in the turbo are toast. I'm not sure the gears in the Dana 80. The truck has a few very minor hail dings, and the driver's side fender has a small dent on the top side but other than that, the sheet metal looks straight. The fender dent can be popped out with a mallet if you put forth the effort. The paint color is a little off on the front clip, so I bet it's been swapped out. The truck has all the signs of being from Oklahoma- hail dings, pipe stacks, stickers, white trash hood ornament, thrashed out interior, etc, but if you went to town on it with some Febreeze and replaced the control arm bushings and the turbo, you would have one hell of a pulling rig. It has an oil leak at the fuel pump block off plate on the driver's side of the engine. The dash panel trim is all busted up from some piece of $h!t stealing the HVAC control panel and the stereo, but surprisingly the dash isn't cracked all to hell like most of these Dodges. Please understand that this was a roofing contractor's truck. It has seen work. It's not a cream puff, so don't expect something that is ready to roll. It will need to be trailered, or at least replace the turbo at my house, and you can drive it to wherever. The tires are about wore slam out, but are road worthy. They need to be replaced, but will make it a couple more miles. The door and ignition lock cylinder will need to be replaced, but they're functional. I bought this truck as a donor for my Cummins engine conversion in my F350, but my truck has no check engine light, and I'd like to keep it this way. That, and I wasn't aware that in order to bolt a transfer case to the back of the NV5600, you have to replace the rear case half. I'd like to make it clear that I need a deposit of 200.00 through Paypal no later than 48 hours after auction ending, and need the remaining balance in cash at the time of pick up, within one week of auction ending. Let me know if you need any more pics. My name is David Farris 214.770.0407. I will text them to ya. I work 28 hours a day, 8 days a week, but I can send the pics when I get home. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
