Up for bid is one of the most solid, rust free Impalas I have ever seen. This car is a great above average cruiser that would be suitable for light show duty with some TLC and small finish work. The underside pics do not lie. There is virtually no rust and what is visible is some light surface at best. The color is an off the shelf base coat clear coat Gold Metallic, I will give the paint code info to the new buyer. The paint is about five years old and as you can see still looks almost new. There are a handful of small imperfections, including some small chips, cracks and blisters but nothing that could'nt be touched up. The paint is about an 7.5 to 8. The body is a solid 8. The car is very straight with great body gaps. Doors open and shut nice as well as the hood and deck. The panels appear to be all original and there is no evidence of past damage. The car drives nice, no rattles, pulls, or shakes. The interior is a very nice custom appeal that is about a year old and is very comfortable. Some minor TLC is all that is needed to finish. One of the rubber weatherstrips needs to be replaced or reinstalled, the one at the top of the door panel that touches the side glass. Again very minor stuff that in no way would prevent you from enjoying the car from day one. This car can be driven immediately while you consider any touch ups or modifications. The rear package tray has been prepped for speakers and is upholstered in matching material as well. The headliner is perfect. Everything appears to function normally, lights, turn signals etc.. but if there is something specific you want to know, please ask any and all questions BEFORE YOU BID. Please do not assume anything. The glass is also in very good shape with only some small minor scratches. The bumpers are very nice and the chrome is in fantastic shape, no peeling. The trim and moldings are driver quality and would need to be polished or replaced for show quality. The drivetrain is a nice running 350, with about 50K on it. It has been treated with the usual upgrades including, Edelbrock intake and carb package, HEI ignition conversion, Coated hedders and dual Flowmaster exhaust. The motor is very reliable and sounds great. The transmission is a Turbo 350 also with about 50k on it, shifts nice and doesnt leak. Driveshaft and u-joints appear to be in great shape. The rear end is a 12 bolt with limited slip. Cooling is handled by the stock radiator and dual electric fan set up that is automatically controlled. I have described this car to the best of my knowledge and if you have any questions please ask before you bid. Also, please ask whomever you need to ask if you need permission to buy a car, before bidding. Finally, the wheels and tires are not included unless the car sells for over 15K. I have a nice new set of rallye wheels with new tires that will go with the car so you can drive it right away. If the car does not sell for more than 15K, I can assist you with purchasing the sizes pictured. I will assist with shipping the car as best I can but all of the expense is on you, so get a quote, get a few because there are a lot of BS when it comes to shipping.
