Vehicle Detail
You are viewing my beautiful 1972 Chevrolet Corvette t-top 4 speed coupe with its original numbers matching engine. This car is perfect for the enthusiast that wants a great looking and running car without paying the high dollar entry fee for a fully restored show car. My car has a nice newer paint job that looks wet and has a deep shine, with a few minor stone chips here and there from being a driver. The sun was behind the car so I had a hard time getting shots of the passenger side, but it's just a beautiful as the drivers side. The chrome bumpers are driver quality, and have very minor pitting but still shine nicely. Nothing that is unsightly, just not "show quality". From 5 feet away the car is stunning. The interior is very sharp with brand new carpet, seat covers, and deluxe door panels (in the pics the passenger side inside door pull handle isn't attached but I have it and will fix before auction ends). It looks very nice. I believe all the glass is original to the car (Astro Vent). This year still has the pop out rear glass which is a pretty cool feature. Remove the window and t-tops for an almost convertible vibe. The engine IS numbers matching, and was "built, balanced and blue printed" according to the previous owner. Lots of money was spent on the engine with many performance parts and lots of chrome. The car was also upgraded to electronic ignition. It is VERY loud and very strong. I haven't had it on the dyno, but it is WAY more powerful than stock! Headers with side pipes not only give it a menacing look, but it commands everyone's attention with a blip of the throttle! The tires are newer all the way around, but the rears need to be reversed to show the white letters. Brakes are good, as is the clutch. Rear leaf springs replaced. This car does not have power brakes or steering. Headlight doors and windshield wiper door sometimes to do not open with vacuum. I haven't attempted to fix as I don't drive in the rain nor at night often. The lower stainless trim side pieces under the rockers where notched when the previous owner had the pipes installed incorrectly (low in front, high in rear). I recently had my mechanic cut and re-weld the headers/pipes to get the correct angle so the pipes are parallel to the car/ground. The notches didn't bother me enough to replace, but the pieces are readily available here on eBay and relatively inexpensive. Also, the rear panels were never glassed over so if you want to go back to the stock rear exhaust it's quite easy to do. Overall the frame is in good shape. I've noticed one spot on the passenger side rear corner that is starting to rust (see pic), but isn't that bad in my opinion and is a pretty easy fix. This is a nice entry level C3 chrome bumper Corvette that one can get in and immediately enjoy, and tinker with here and there to get to a desired level of restoration should you want to (really doesn't need much and is awesome as is). I will gladly sell to overseas buyers. I am a private collector who is liquidating several of my cars to fund a new home purchase. All sales are final, no returns. Ask any and all questions prior to bidding. A $500 deposit through Paypal will be due immediately following the end of the auction, and final payment MUST be received within 5 business days after the end of the auction. No exceptions. I can keep the car stored safe and secure until shipping is arranged. Transport is at your expense of course. I will happily assist in scheduling/pickup with your transport company. Please only bid if you can honor my terms. I have had some auctions end where I never heard from the person again and this not only wastes my time, but costs me money. Have all finances arranged BEFORE bidding. This is an auction to BUY. You are committing to "buy" my car, not winning a chance to haggle or "think about it". If you need to see the car, please make arrangements to do so before bidding...NOT after. These old Vette's are great investments and way better than money in the bank! Enjoy it for a few years and most likely sell it for a nice profit! Clean and clear title is in my possession. I am less than 3 hours from the port in Charleston, SC should an overseas buyer wonder. Again, this is a NO RESERVE auction and the last bid wins. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. Car is listed for sale locally so auction may end at any time. Good luck!
