You're viewing my 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera in rare champagne gold with beautiful brown interior. My car has always been a Southern car (clean Carfax, TN, GA & SC ownership) and doesn't suffer from rust like Northern cars do. The car has been used very little over the past several years. I have 15 cars in my collection and I rotate often. The paint is very presentable but is mostly original and to be "perfect" could use a partial or full respray due to some minor clearcoat/light paint fading on sunroof and 2 scratches on hood by emblem. From 5 feet the car is gorgeous. The interior is quite clean and wear free. All gauges are bright/clear and even the clock works and keeps perfect time. The dash has a fabric cover (2 small cracks in typical place on these). Door panels, handles and pockets are in nice condition and are in leather. The carpet is in very nice condition. Headliner is brown and in nice shape as well. Under the front bonnet is tidy and carpeted. The sunroof motor works but the cable broke (easily accessible through zippered area in headliner). The car has never been in an accident and all panels line up nicely. Doors shut nicely. Color matched Fuch's wheels are in nice condition. The outer lips could use a buff to brighten them up from minor oxidizing, but have little to no curb rash. Good tires. Brakes are excellent. The 5 speed tranny and clutch work well, with good synchros (but as with any of these old 911's you don't slam into gear nor downshift into 1st going 40mph). The 3.2 liter engine runs very strong. It fires up on the first crank and idles beautifully. Response is immediate and runs beautifully all the way through the torque curve. The underside of the engine was resealed about a year ago. I have not noticed any drops of oil on my garage floor. Exhaust/heat exchangers are in great shape. Overall this is a beautiful car that one can get in and enjoy from day one. It's almost 30 years old, and has been adult owned and maintained all along. This is not a 100 point Concourse show car/garage queen. It is what it was intended to be...a driver. These older air cooled 911's have increased quite a bit over the past few years, and will continue to increase. So not only will this be a fun car to enjoy, but a great investment as well! The ONLY reason I am selling it is my wife and I are buying a river house and need to liquidate assets asap to pay for it. Opportunity wins out over my passion...but now someone else can enjoy this wonderful car. I have it listed for sale locally as well, so the auction may end at any given time. I have sold several cars from my collection on ebay and have had a few "winners" never follow up or pay.
