This car was my sons car, he recently passed away, so here is what I know about it. If you have any questions, I will answer them as best as I can. Up for sale is a 1951 Chevy Deluxe 2 door sedan. The car has been recently restored to about 90%. Only a few things are needed to complete it. The specs. Engine: A rebuilt 1967 283 V8 engine. It has been bored .030 over, mild cam, aluminum intake, Holley four barrel carb. 9.1:1 compression. New water Pump. Electric Fan. 55 Chevy radiator. Exhaust: It has headers, 3 inch collectors, dual 3 inch exhaust with 50 series flowmaster mufflers, a full exhaust system that goes over the rear. Transmission: A stock TH350, with a Lokar tall stick shifter and lighted gear indicator on the dash. Rear: 1975 Chevy Nova rear, stock type posi unit with 3.42 gears from a grand national. It is an 8.5" 10 Bolt, drum brakes. Chassis: A mostly stock 1951 frame. Front suspension is from Heidts. It is a custom front cross member to mount Mustang II type upper and lower control arms. Spindles and disc brakes, Chevy bolt pattern for the wheels. It has power rack and pinion steering, custom braided high pressure lines. Power brakes. It doesn't have a handbrake yet. A 55 Chevy brake pedal assembly and power brake booster are used. Body: All the body rot has been cut out and replaced, the body has been sandblasted, Epoxy primer, and a 2 stage base/clear from PPG. The color is bright/Chrome yellow. The stainless trim has been straitened and polished. The front/rear bumpers and half the grill are painted silver as the chrome was not in good shape.,but they are good for re-chroming. Has the rare wheel skirts. The electrical system is 12 volt. But the radio and stock gauges are running on six through a voltage dropper. Have new rear view mirrors in the bags in the trunk. It has new front and rear parking lights and trim, front and rear emblems, outside door handles are great originals Wheels: Stock Sandblasted, painted body color with stock hubcaps. Interior: It has new seat padding and seat upholstery, door panels in rear panels, package tray, the dash is redone. All that is needed is a carpet and headliner. It also has a Monte Carlo/Malibu steering column. The windshield is starting to get some fog around the perimeter, it is the original windshield.
