Vehicle Detail
1990 BMW K75S w/ 37450 miles. This bike was lowered with a WORKS low shock, BMW low seat option and an 80 series tire in front. I am 5' 7" and it's short enough for me. It could be made even lower with lower profile tires if needed. Mechanical:The bike is in good running condition. I've owned this bike for about five years and taken it on a few trips that were in the 300 mile range. But it was mostly used as a commuter bike for me to get to work. The rear splines and final drive bearing were replaced at Bruno's in Canada.(This is a common issue for these bikes and a very expensive job, but if maintained should never have to be done again.)Front forks springs were replaced with progressive springs.Fluibolic steering head was cleaned and repacked.Swing arm roller bearings were replaced with OEM bearings.Radiator fan motor was replaced.Brake lines were all replaced.Front brake reservoir was replaced. Body:The handle bars have an extender installed that can fairly easily be adjusted or removed. The handlebars were switched to some wider ones as well.GIVI Monokey Wingrack and Monokey top rack were installed. The side cases are in good shape, but the top case is in pretty bad shape; it works but it's in need of replacement.Aeroflow windshield was installed. Cosmetically:I would say the bike is in fair cosmetic condition. The main front fairing has some scuffs on the right side, and the lower fairing has some visible cracks in it. One of the previous owners did a patch job that looks like it's holding it together fine, it's not obvious from the outside. The tank has chips in the paint and is no longer shiny. The rear cowling was repainted, so it's shiny and it matches, but it wasn't done perfectly. It could use a new front tire pretty soon. In short, it's mechanically sound, it rides well but it could use a facelift in some areas. Pickup only. If needed I will ride it 50 or so miles for delivery, but would prefer you come see the bike first so there are no surprises. Feel free to ask any questions or set up a time to look at the bike if you are interested in purchasing.Thank you.
