The race proven Ducati powerplant features belt driven desmodromic camshafts that eliminate valve springs from the design, resulting in greater performance, producing that unmistakable Ducati exhaust note and throttle response. A recent Sports Car Digest article referred to the 1987 Cagiva as sounding indistinguishable from a brand new $15,000 Ducati., priced well below comparable Ducati models. The frame engineering and geometry are also Ducati- and combined with the suspension upgrades that have been done, this bike handles extremely well. This bike runs, drives and performs as it should.
