RARE 5-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION!
RUNS AND DRIVES VERY GOOD. THE 2.5L ENGINE FIRES RIGHT UP AND RUNS SMOOTHLY WITH GOOD ACCELERATION AND FUEL ECONOMY TOO. THE 5-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION SHIFTS SMOOTHLY. THERE IS A SOME THROW-OUT BEARING NOISE.
THE MILES ON THE ODOMETER READ 177K, BUT THIS CAR LOOKS, RUNS AND DRIVES GOOD.
ALL THE ELECTRONIC FEATURES AND OPTIONS WORK!
MECHANICALLY OUR BMW IS IN GOOD CONDITION! IT WON'T PASS STATE INSPECTION, BUT ONLY BECAUSE THE CAR NEEDS WIPER BLADES, A COUPLE AMBER LIGHT BULBS IN THE REAR AND TWO REAR TIRES. ALL VERY MINOR ISSUES. FIX THOSE ITEMS AND THE CAR WILL PASS STATE INSPECTION.

THIS BMW 525i LUXURY SPORT SEDAN HAS A NICE BODY WITH NO RUST AT ALL. THE PAINT LOOKS GOOD WITH ONLY A FEW ERASER SIZE CHIPS HERE AND THERE (THE CHIPS ARE MAINLY ON THE FRONT END OF THE CAR). BOTH BUMPERS HAVE SOME DIME-SIZE CHIPS AND SCRAPES, BUT NOTHING MAJOR. THE ONLY EXTERIOR ISSUE OF NOTE IS A FEW SHALLOW DENTS ON THE FRONT OF THE HOOD AROUND THE RIGHT "KIDNEY" GRILLE. THE PAINT IS CRACKING THERE IN ONE SPOT TOO (SEE PICS OF THE BLEMISHES BELOW). OTHER THAN THAT, THE PAINT IS GLOSSY AND LOOKS GOOD OVERALL. THE RUBBER TRIM AROUND THE WINDSHIELD IS CRACKING BADLY, BUT THERE ARE NO LEAKS AT ALL.
THE ALLOY WHEELS LOOK GOOD OVERALL WITH ONLY MINOR BLEMISHES. THE FULL-SIZE SPARE IN THE TRUNK HAS A MATCHING RIM ON IT. THE FRONT TIRES HAVE ABOUT 60% OF THEIR TREAD-LIFE REMAINING, BUT THE REAR TIRES NEED TO BE REPLACED TO BE SAFELY DRIVEN ON.
THIS BMW WILL NOT PASS OUR VA STATE INSPECTION DUE TO THE ITEMS MENTIONED EARLIER. THE CAR CURRENTLY HAS A VA STATE INSPECTION STICKER THAT DOES NOT EXPIRE UNTIL AUGUST 2014. ANY COST NECESSARY TO MAKE THIS CAR PASS STATE INSPECTION ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNING BIDDER.
