Nice E Type Hardtop as removed from an original 1962 Jaguar E Type. After a quick cleaning this top was found to be in pretty darn nice condition. -Chrome is good, not a lot of pitting, some wear predominately on the leading edge. Just a few minor dings, actually pretty well kept. -The headliner is not torn up, still very nice. Some discoloration mostly under the rear glass, might clean up but did not readily wipe off. -Front clasps in good shape, rear straps present in decent shape. -Rear glass is pretty good. Not all scratched up, some light scratches from cleaning. Still pretty clear, just a touch of fogging. Very usable. -Paint is mediocre. I buffed it a little and it will shine up but the gelcoat under it has developed a texture to it. It's not cracked or flaking. A good sanding and a good coat of primer surface to smooth it out with a fresh coat of paint would result in a truly excellent top. Or use it as is on a "driver". -Rubber weather stripping is in OK shape but it is missing for the driver window. -car shown is not included in this sale.
