NO RESERVE GENERAL DESCRIPTION: In 2006, BMW came out with the K1200R and said in their introductory brochure: “Nobody needs a 4 cylinder that produces 163 bhp of power and 127 Nm of torque. But who wants to be a Nobody?” It was then the most powerful naked bike that you could buy. More power is arguably better and thanks to Ken Zeller at “Evoluzione”, this bike now puts out a very healthy 173 bhp. You can therefore assume that this combination rig is, if not the quickest, certainly one of the fastest street legal sidecars in the country. The side was professionally installed at the Hannigan factory and has been road-tested extensively by their experts and by the owner who has thirty years of experience with side-hacks. Although not for the timid, it is civilized when needed and brutal when desired. MOTORBIKE DESCRIPTION: The bike started as a “Power Cup” K1200R (similar to last picture) lovingly customized and prepared by Ken Zeller but never raced. This limited edition model includes several factory carbon fiber parts (front fender, air intakes, rear seat cowling, windshield, hand guards, engine cover, lowers) in addition to some judicious tuning to match the race “Lazer” exhaust. The latter is very loud and very rare, but a quieter sport “Lazer” slip-on is included (a ten minute swap).The "Power Cup Edition" came without ABS (not recommended on a sidecar anyway) but factory heated grips have been added for all weather comfort. It is in perfect mechanical condition; runs, drives and stops as it should and has a flawless custom paint job. Some of the additional modifications include: · GALESPEED “Type R” forged aluminum wheels. (Very light and very strong. Very rare and very expensive.) · OHLINS sport shocks front and rear. VERHOLEN rear carbon fender. (Matches factory carbon fiber and keeps all clean.) · VERHOLEN foot peg lowering kit. (More comfort.) · VERHOLEN brake pedal extension. (Better control.) · VERHOLEN shift pedal extension. (More positive shifting.) SIDECAR DESCRIPTION: Hannigan is considered the premier sidecar manufacturer in the US and installed this “Bandito” model at their factory in Kentucky in September 2011. It is the widest and lightest available and optionally equipped with the best “Brembo” brake, a “Progressive” sport shock and an electric trim adjuster Great care has been given for the proper adjustments of this high performance machine but if needs be, the side hack can be disconnected in ten minutes and reconnected in twenty.
