Vehicle Detail

My wife drove this car since new. It is in excellent overall condition. Never smoked in. Pictures show all cosmetic flaws. Oil changed regularly. Dealer service limited to replacing "blendoor" on H/AC. I have the missing rocker switch caps that don't want to stay on. I replaced spark plugs, coils, rubber boots around a year ago. Picture #4 shows all damage to the license plate and plate holder. In 2004 My wife was stopped behind a car at a stop sign and when the other car began moving out into traffic my wife began creeping forward. Yep, the car in front of her stopped again and she bumped it. This car has NEVER been into any body shop in the 15 years we have owned it.On Dec-23-13 at 20:54:50 PST, seller added the following information: Dear 8atude, I have not replaced the air ride nor compressor. It appears to be working fine, although once in a while I can hear it running (I don't recall hearing it when the car was newer) The headlights are stock, I assume are the HID you talk about. They are very bright. There is a very small amount glass fog. I purchased a headlight restore kit but not got around to using it. Not sure what you mean about the rear trunk lid light. There is a light in the trunk and all tail lights work. I had an intermittent running problem with the heater/AC fan. I scheduled and took it in for service, was lied to about the status. I found the problem myself (the plug into the fan unit on the passenger side was not seated. It has been working fine since. The Lincoln/Ford agency near me is such a sad bunch of bandits. I have not thought about including the silver ingots thus they currently are not a part of the package. Although I have no reason to keep them other than their silver value. What I do have is a complete set of 1993 and 1998 shop manuals (I used it to locate the fan and the steps to service it)These are also not part of the auction, but again, why would I need them. The short MK8 story is my wife and I purchased a Mk8 in 1993 because we felt it was the greatest looking American made luxury made. It was truly revolutionary. (I am historically an old Cadillac fan). I was devastated when I heard Lincoln was stopping production in 1998, so I had to have one of the last ones made. I sold my 1993 to a friend. Now I have come to the conclusion I will not live long enough to realize the classic status of the Lincoln MK8. I am amazed how little they are worth. I am also dismayed that Ford has essentially abandoned what will undoubtedly one of their greatest cars they have produced. - janfblack
