The 1979 Chevrolet Corvette was a much smaller change from the previous year. The standard seats are are lighter weight and taller version that was introduced on the pace car in '78. The passenger seat now folds flat to the level of the cargo area. The 350ci L82 engine uses a dual snorkel intake to add 5 horsepower to the base engine. Some late 1979 models were "upgraded" to the new 85 MPH speedometer that would be standard on the 1980 models. The automatic transmission equipped models had the rear gear ratio changed to 3.55:1. This was the last year for the "Corvette" named colors. Overall, I think anyone budding and buying this fine classic will like what they find. This is one super nice 1979 Chevrolet Corvette sporting T-Tops, with car matching numbers throughout. A wonderful driver or just for Sunday afternoons or going to the club. Has 23,540 original unmolested miles, has a super-fast and very responsive 350 CI. V-8, automatic transmission, cold A/C, 225/70R X 15 raised lettered tires with aluminum rims and a nice in dash corvette AM/FM cassette radio. Everything works and mechanically sound. Simply stunning to admire and drive. It’s a non- smoker car and drives great and looks outstanding inside and out. If you re close by to the Auburn area call for personal inspection. You will not be disappointed. This is not a rare classic but rather a classic high performance car that is truly fun to drive, show and serves that teenage ambition to own a red corvette you can be proud of for a very reasonable investment. This car will only increase in value over time. This car is a modest investment at this time, but in a few more years, this classic will mature steadily in value by more than 15-20%. Where else can you get this kind of return and have something tangible and fun to drive at the same time. This is one fine classic collector car. This car is in amazing condition with such low mileage. I can be 100% positive but does not look to me like it has been redone. It looks all original with the paint in great shape.
