Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a 1990 Chevy K5 Blazer. PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION. This vehicle originally had a fuel injected engine but before I purchased it someone had swapped it out for a carbuerated 400. This is where my story begins. I bought this truck from a guy I used to work with I knew something was wrong with it when I bought it from him, it was missing on two cylinders. so I pulled the heads had a blown head gasket sent the heads to be checked, valve guides were wore out so I purchased an already worked set off of EBay. I installed them and got it running again, I also installed a new kick down cable in the trans because the one on it was held on the carb by a bolt and two washers with the cable smashed between them. So as I said it runs but for some reason the electric temp gauge in the truck goes to 260 so I installed a manual gauge it stays between 210 and 220 I think that's too hot but anyway that's that. When first starting the truck you can rev it up it sounds decent it sounds real good idling I believe it has a mild cam in it but I don't know for sure like I said I bought it that way. After it gets up to temperature and you rev it up it don't sound so good it makes like a clankitty rattle type sound that I don't know what it is so that's where I'm at with it, and that's all I know about it really because I haven't driven it anywhere but I'm sure the 4wd works the power windows are real slow going up and down and the rear tailgate window you push up and down with your hand because it is unhooked from the window motor. So there it is, I don't have to sell it I was actually just going to buy a crate engine and put in it and go, but I figured I would put it on here first and see what it does, so feel free to ask questions I will do my best to answer them. You will need to bring a trailer to pick it up unless you don't happen to live far from me. Thanks for looking and good luck.
