This time around we have a beautiful 1929 Chevrolet Landau that has been a private collection for the last 27 years. The owner of the car restored the vehicle in 1986-87 and has only added 1,356 miles to it since. The 46bhp, 194 cu. in. overhead valve inline 6-cyl engine runs very smooth and the 3-speed transmission shifts just like a 1929 would. The Chevy has always been stored inside and never driven in the rain. This car was a complete frame off factory correct restoration. The original shape of the car was a very solid original car but needed a complete frame off restoration to make it a 100 point driver. The motor and drive drain were complete rebuilt and repainted to factory specifications. The body was refinished to the factory color and hand pin strips added to highlight the trim. The interior and landau top were complete restored to match factory specifications. Interior trim pieces were refinished with correct colors including top notch wood graining. The car was restored during the years of 1986 and 1987. Acrylic enamel paint was used at the time and all on the trim pieces were either re-chromed or re-cadmium plated based upon the original finish. All of the color and finishes on this car are factory correct. The car in its current condition shows a few minor scratches due to years of enjoyment yet still shows as if the day it came out of the shop from its restoration. With some minor detailing will be back to national judging standards. The chrome and cadmium plating on this car are in great shape. Bumpers were re-chromed during the restoration and many of the miscellaneous cadmium plated pieces were re-plated to be factory correct. The options of this car are not exactly known as it is such a rare car. The Landau top has been complete restored and is complete functional. Extra step plates have been added to the running boards. This very rare car belonged to a professional automobile restoration body man who was heavily involved with the Antique Automobile Club of America and served many years as a national judge. The restoration on this car was done to bring this car back to exact factory specification to the best of his ability. This car was in his personal collection and due to health reasons must be sold. The car is in excellent condition and with some minor detailing will be back to national judging standards.
