NOTE THAT THIS IS REALLY A 1994 BUT I CAN"T FIGURE OUT HOW TO CHANGE THE LISTING. We are buying a boat so the cars have to go. My wife bought this car, mostly to look blonde in, when she moved back to Manhattan Beach California with only an old jeep. She bought it through an old boyfriend who is a foreign-car mechanic in Tiburon California. He knew the car and the other owner. It has always held it’s own even in car crazy Los Angeles and will continue to turn heads wherever you take it. It not only looks long and sleek but is also a nice big heavy safe convertible that has a trunk big enough for luggage, golf clubs, or groceries. Ride is fantastic. I put the high speed rated Pirelli tires on it, ($1200) and that makes a big difference. Many have small truck tires on them to save money but handling and ride suffer. It goes quietly and smoothly down the road as an elegant Jaguar should. I put the top down at every opportunity. The car has all the luxury features you would expect including cruise control, electric seats and top. The entertainment system includes a 6 CD changer in the back. Interior is in good shape with limited wear on the front seats. The rear seats do have a couple of places where the seam is open a part of an inch. Exterior paint looks great and the chrome looks new. Always garaged. No rust. Waxed frequently. The big inline 6 will move the car in a stately fashion. It is very reliable. These Jaguars are old enough to be English car but new enough to avoid having any Lucas electronic parts. With everything overbuilt the car has had almost no mechanical issues in the 6 years I have been taking car of it. The car is very safe. My bride was T-boned at a stop light by an SUV. She walked away without a scratch while the whole front end of the SUV was compressed. The car had minimal body damage and no frame damage at all. The insurance company came through and we have put many miles on it since then. Negatives – Front bumper has some scratches and is missing some paint. Front air-dam was cracked. I repaired it with some fiberglass on the inside but if you look under the car you can see where it cracked. Check engine indication on the computer has always been on since she owned bought it. Continues to pass Maryland inspection and to work fine.
