Great Rust Free specimen to begin with, completely restored, newly rebuilt top end of the engine, transmission serviced, new clutch, all new cables, new interior, new top and frame, new paint all around. And this one is a driver. In fact, we had the restoration completed in Colorado and drove it to Tennessee. Heads turned all the way. An incredible VW Mechanic (Wright's German Motors, complete with the German accent) did all the mechanical work (about $7,500 worth and better than new). Original hub caps (see photos), brand new duck boards (the wooden slatted things in the floorboard), an extra brand new top (that we installed on the old frame, but it didn't fit well so we ordered a brand new top and frame), new mirrors including the extended mirror arm for the passenger side. This is restored to drive, but it might work in a museum as well... however I don't restore them to look at... but to use. Excellent specimen.
