This '68 Chevrolet C/30 full size pickup truck was originally built in Tarrytown, NY. This dually (dual rear wheels) runs like a champ. Front and rear end from an '86 Chevy full size so you get disc brakes in the front and better gearing ratio in the back.Transmission is a factory installed 4-speed manual with low (granny) gear, 1, 2 & 3 on the floor. NYS inspected through October. Because of age, New York issues a transferrable registration in lieu of title.I have upgraded the emergency brake and lap belts for safety. There is a PTO (power take off...like a tractor) which runs the hydraulic dump bed, and it works great. Custom built stained wood flatbed has removable stakes on sides, great for gardening or hardware runs.I will also throw in a power steering rack and pump for conversion from manual steering PLUS 2 front snow tires on their own rims. Also comes with reprinted original service manuals and repair books.There is minimal rust for truck of its age, in corners of the fenders. Paint could use a respray but is hand waxed and touched up. Truck was originally forest green, but is now in red and GM Santa Fe white. Bench seat has some tears due to normal wear. Do some cosmetic work and start putting it in shows, or would make a great landscaping or business promo truck. Has Pioneer stereo in-dash.The C-30 is the highest capacity Chevrolet C series, more tow and bed rating than the C10 or C20. Rated at 10,000 lb GVW - get commercial plates OR historic and register for cheap classic car insurance. New distributor, points and choke for first-time starting through the winter months.
