Vehicle Detail
Are you looking for a great deal on a 10 year old E250 that's in excellent condition will low miles? Well, you've come to the wrong place! Are you looking for a low cost 3/4 ton van that looks decent and has no major mechanical problems? Then you're in the right place. I'm selling this van because I thought it would be really great to have a truck payment for the next 72 months, so I bought a new E250. This van has served me very well. I bought it on eBay from a house painter about six years ago, and drove it from Florida back to Cleveland. Its first 59,000 miles were in Florida. I have had absolutely no mechanical problems with this van, other than standard wear items. I drove it every day for the past six years, until I bought my new van. The 5.4 litre engine and transmission run strong with no problems. A/C works well. All interior and exterior lights, gauges, windshield wipers, etc work as they should. The only electrical issue I can think of is that the radio display doesn't work, although the radio functions fine otherwise. The van has a step bumper and a Class 4 trailer hitch (not sure whether the hitch plug works). The tires are all in good to very good condition. Not pictured but included in the auction is a ladder rack. I installed a K&N air filter. The van passes Ohio's Emission Check with no problems. There was no jack present when I bought the van, so I purchased a floor jack from the local auto parts store, which I will leave in it. Following is a list of everything I can think of that's wrong with this van. Since this is a 10 year old work van with over 115,000 miles on it, most of it shouldn't be much of a surprise... -I mentioned the van was owned by a painter. The interior looks like it. 'nuff said... -There is a crack in the windshield, close to the top. It has been there for about 1 year, and hasn't grown. -There is a slight rattle for about 1-2 seconds when you first start the van. -There is an occasional rattle coming from somewhere in the exhaust system. I think it might be a catalytic converter heat shield, but I haven't been able to pinpoint it. -The exterior looks pretty good in the pictures, right? Thanks, Duplicolor; a can of your Oxford White spray paint works wonders! There are no rust holes in the body, but there is definitely rust (this IS Cleveland!) in many areas. I have touched up the paint several times, but the rust comes back every year. The body is more or less straight, with no big dents, but many small scratches, chips, scuffs, dings etc. The side cargo doors are probably the worst part. The previous owner did some body work to them, and the bottoms are rusty and split open. At some point, it appears that someone tried to pry them open. They still open, close and lock fine. -The driver's seat has a large rip in it (see pic), and the passenger seat has a smaller slice in it. I have performed the following maintenance items over the past six years, in addition to regular oil changes and tire replacement: -Alignment -New battery -Replaced U-Joint -Brake pads As you can see by reading this listing and looking at my feedback, I don't mess around. I tell it like it is. I have bought and sold several vehicles on eBay with excellent results. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I will answer them to the best of my ability. Shipping/pick up is the buyer's responsibility, but I will do my best to accommodate. I will also make the van available if prospective bidders would like to see it. Needless to say, this van is sold as is, where is, with no warranty. I set the reserve at a reasonable price. If I can't get at least that number, I will keep the van as a second vehicle. Good luck and happy bidding!
