1972 Numbers Matching 454 Corvette Coupe This two-owner, 89,000 original miles, heavily optioned, no hit body, big block Corvette with factory air conditioning runs great. This has always been one of my dream cars and I’ve really enjoyed bringing it back to great driver condition after searching years to find the right one. This is a numbers matching car and is the original red over black. This is a very original car with original rally wheels and correct trim rings. Over the past six months I’ve done the following: · Brand new BF Goodrich TA Radial tires, balanced and mounted · Brand new Aluminized stock Exhaust system from the headers back from Corvette Central · Brand new chrome exhaust bezels · Installed new points, plugs and reset the timing · New belts · All fluids flushed and replaced · New front and rear brake calipers, with new lines and a new master cylinder · Seats reupholstered · New carpeting throughout · New seat belts and retractor mechanism · Rebuilt original starter As you know the 1972 Corvette was the last of the front and rear chrome bumpers. The chrome still shines on this Corvette. This Corvette also has a rare power antenna and its original AM/FM stereo and both of them work. The headlights go up and down effortlessly and shine bright. Unfortunately, I broke my heel bone and had to have surgery and I can’t complete the restoration due to the financial impact of mounting health care costs and not being able to work for twelve weeks. So, I must part with my high school dream car. My loss is your gain. There’s a short list of things that need to be done to bring this car to the next level: · Turn signals · AC needs to be charged · Radio could use new speakers · Windshield has a small crack and will eventually need to be replaced · Brakes work fine but I have a new power booster included with the sale that needs to be installed · Wipers work but vacuum switch needs to be installed and is included with the sale As I was planning on keeping this car forever, I went out and had a window sticker reproduced, it too is included with the sale.
