OK I will lay it all out. Always wanted a Cammi but never had time or money so got this 1978 Caballero "ElCamino sub model" out of Washington state that had a blown up V-6 and started putting it back to gether but have too many prject so you get to finish it. This car though drivable but is for sale "as is or for parts car" This is a project car that runs but due to an engine swap needs to be inspected and smogged if registerd in California so is being sold "as is part car". It originally had a V-6 tat blew up so i put in a 305 V8 and auto transmission from an 83' Elcamino. I had it registered and smogged last year it passed and drove it all around town with no issues. This year Ca said I had to Star certify it and when I went in they said it has to go to referee due to engine swap and I do not have the experience to mount the computer "Been running fine without it" and set up wiring correctly nor do I have the money to pay someone to do it for me. As I said, it runs good and only has a minor trans leak due to old rear seal on shaft and steering is a little loose as with most oldies. Engine runs sound, no oil leaks or smoke, but I have three other projects and don't have time for this one. I am not going to put lipstick on a pig so I am being completly honest....... It is primer black and body is fairly straight for this age and I have most of the chrome for around the windows and doors on it and a few pieces still not mounted on the back glass and it has a cracked front windshield. As I said, I put in a 305 and tranny from and 83 ElCamino, also new seat, dash cover, carpet kit, door panels as well as dual exhaust. You can see from the pictues that I am still driving it and until the tags expired in July using it to haul stuff to the dump but is still a project and I do not have time to finish it. Once again it is being sold "AS IS" and currently has a Non Operational registration so cannot be driven on the highways legally but it does drive OK. **THE SHOWN WHEELS ARE NOT INCLUDED*** they are being sold separately in a different E-Bay auction for $700. I have four generic rims and tires that will go with it and are servicable just not pretty. I have done my best to be straight forward and do not offer any Guarantees or Warrantees with this sale and if you intend to drive it home I don't doubt that it would make it, but it is not legal for the road for the reasons stated above.
