Simply beautiful very rare 1988 Avanti Convertible 305-cid /V-8 High Output Chevrolet engine with a four speed automatic transmission. This is on a Monte Carlo chassis not a Studebaker chassis. Approximately 68 Convertibles were produced in 1988 Vin number 12AAV2238J1000271 I had to list the car as a 1980 because if it is newer than 1981 ebay does not recognize the Avanti VIN number. Avanti Motors did not have many options but what they did have this car came with just about all of them. Factory options include front and rear bumper with ground effects, black out trim option, wire wheels, all leather interior, 6 way power seat driver and passenger, luggage rack, wood steering wheel, fog or driving lights, premium sound system, factory keyless remote with alarm system(could not get it to work) under the dash pad map light, time delay headlights, came from the factory with a phone( you remember those days when the big bulky cell phones were attached to the side of console) pinstriping down the sides.I have the build sheet for this car. The build sheet was wrote up by Michael Kelly and a Cadillac dealership in Chicago ordered it. Car was professinally detailed and pictures taken Oct 5th 2013. I have had the car for 8 years and is licensed and titled in my name. 67,772 Original Miles. Original beautiful interior,Rare convertible with h.o 5.0 engine good condition top . I just spent over 1,500.00 on putting in a new Auburn posi unit with 3.73 gears The high bidder will get first option on buying the extra parts at a discount that I have for this car. I bought these from Avanti Motors, like brand new NOS red leather skins that matches interior, NOS left side and right side rear view mirrors, NOS body side molding.
