The current mileage is 188k. The engine is strong – with good power available - very peppy. Gas mileage is also pretty good in the mid-30's mpg. This is a MANUAL transmission - 5 speed. Additionally, there is a new clutch. There is however a "rubbing" sound when first gear is engaged. The rubbing is not there as you get up to speed. I have been told by my mechanic that it needs a new bearing - which should have been done when the clutch was replaced but wasn't ?!?! The part is about $15 - but the labor will vary depending on your mechanic. The paint is in ok shape. Overall, there are not a lot of scratches or dings – there is a small crease on the passenger side front fender (pictured). The paint is still pretty much uniform and the car cleans up nicely. There is no rust anywhere on the car - including the undercarriage. The interior is in decent shape. There is not a lot of wear and tear to show. The carpet and seats are in fundamentally good condition - could use a good detailing. All electrical systems function properly. The heat and A/C operate very well – a/c is ice cold. The car is equipped with power windows, locks, mirrors, and a sunroof - which all function properly. The SRS light needs to be reset. The temperature gauge does not work. The radio works but you have to fiddle with the face plate. I have not investigated the reason for the non-functioning – but because of what they are, they are minor fixes at best. The tires are relatively new and are in excellent condition with plenty of tread left. I was told by the previous owner that they are only about 8 months old. This car is being sold with a salvage history. It has been certified road worthy and safe by the Maryland state police and therefore able to be sold as a running vehicle and not for parts. Overall, this is a solid little car – great gas mileage and very smooth on the highway. It should pass any state inspection with minimal issues. This vehicle is being offered for sale “AS-IS” because of year and miles.
