In 1984 Chevrolet did not produce Camaro convertibles but instead shipped new coupes to licensed custom coach builders who did produce convertibles. This Camaro was upgraded by MATRIX to a convertible with additional frame rails, a fiberglass trunk and a power convertible top. Of the several convertible coach builders for Camaro, MATRIX is considered the best. This Camaro has a rebuilt 350 engine with a 700R4 transmission and runs strong and smooth. The car has new base/clear paint, a new top with new power cylinders, new carpet, padded dash and very good seats from a 2000 model. Wheels are from a 2000 model also. Hood is fiberglass. Car has 145 mph speedo and all gauges work although tach has a mind of its own. Power window work but power locks do not (who locks a convertible anyway?) Car runs cool but A/C needs recharging. I do not know if car will pass emissions as Florida is not a tested state. Overall, the car is striking and is very presentable. The paint could stand more buffing in areas and the age of the car shows up here and there. Car is sold as is and where is with no warranties implied or otherwise. Generation 3 Camaro are beginning to come on strong but the convertibles are especially valuable. This is a good car that should only increase in value. Call me with any questions at 904 993-0826
