This is a 1976 Toyota Celica GT Fastback (Liftback). This car runs and drives fine and the odometer shows 41K miles although I can not say if the mileage is accurate or not. Lights, wipers, horn, turn signals, hi/low beams, work as they should although the tachometer just stopped working. The Celica GT was repainted several years ago and the paint still looks great remaining bright, and glossy. The numbers matching 20R motor starts by simply tapping the key, she purrs like a kitten once running, has strong compression does not smoke. The car runs smoothly and shifts through all the gears great. The interior is in very good shape as well for being all original (other than the front seats which have two covers over them). The dash is close to perfect as is the headliner although the carpet is faded due to age/sun. The motor is completely stock other than the addition of a Webber carb. The body panels have no rust that I can find anywhere other than a small spot on the inside of the hood (can't be seen from the outside). The frame rails are all solid. The Celica currently has some old school 14" American Racing aluminum wheels with tires that have 90% rubber remaining, center caps are rusty. Please note, although the tires have great tread, all four are severely dry rotted and flat spotted due to sitting for so long and really should be replaced before the car is driven anywhere. Car also features very nice set of rear window louvers. The Celica also has factory air conditioning which blows cold air. Glass is in almost perfect condition, windows roll up and down fine, this is a rare car to find, especially in this condition. This lil' fastback was Toyota's solution to the more popular and expensive fastback mustang!
