Up for sale is a 1987 Lincoln Town Car. This car was purchased from a local estate and has been a southern vehicle with no rust on any panels. It has been sitting for a while, we put a new battery in it and adjusted the idle. It still idles a little high and might could use a tune up if you want it perfect but for a car of this age that you may only drive occasionally it runs fine. The car is a rare find with 85K actual miles! The seats are in great shape with minimal wear, the carpets look like new and headliner is not sagging a bit. There are no bad odors and it appears to be a non smoker owned car. The exterior is in above average condition for the age but please do expect some flaws. The right front fender has multiple chips and light paint issues that we have touched up as best we can without repainting it. The rubber moldings are a little stained and could be dyed or replaced, a couple have been reglued and may be mis aligned some as you see on the right front fender. Chrome is 85% good, some oxidation but overall a nice look from a few feet off. The top is well above average, it has faded some but looks original and shines good with some armor all. No tears or rips in the top vinyl. The power options work properly, the driver window is tempermental but the motor does work still. The right front marker light is cracked, see photo. The car runs out strong and the transmission changes well. The air needed freon when we acquired it and it blows cool but still not cold, probably has a leak in the lines. Compressor seems to be doing its part as best we know. Buy this car knowing that it is 26 years young and we feel its a good 8 of 10 overall. Its not mint, its an original car with good low mileage. Its not worn out and smoking and leaking but its not a show car as well as you wont be paying $15-20K for it. We normally would not put an older vehicle on our lot as we deal in late model used cars but this car is a rare find and if you want a nice classic Lincoln for a Sunday driver or to store up for value this is your chance. Its priced accordingly to what we feel is fair value and availability of this type of car still around that is still this nicely kept.
