Thanks for looking at our auction - we are an estate sale company based in Fairfield County, CT , occasionally we get cars from estates and post them on eBay . . . . This one of the most beautiful Bentleys I have ever seen. . . . .This is my personal car (I am also selling my very nice 2004 Range Rover HSE - see other auction) . . . .as far as the Bentley . . . . . .I purchased this car approximately a year ago . . .it reportedly came from an estate in Hobe Sound, Florida . . . . . This is a 1996 Bentley Brooklands . . . . .with just 50k original miles. . . . . this is not like any other I have seen . . . . . I have owned other Bentleys and Rolls . . . . overall EXCELLENT condition. . . . . Florida car its whole life. . . in the absolute best British Racing Green color. . . .with Magnolia leather interior. . . .it has incredible tan mohair headliner . . . this Bentley was driven by a "chauffeur or family driver". . . . please see lovely letter he wrote and left in glove box for the new owner. . . . . . this car is absolutely fantastic. . . . . . .always run with synthetic oil. . . . it was ALWAYS garaged . . . .This Bentley Brooklands is nice and shiny and looks GREAT inside and out. . . . .clean and incredibly well kept. . . .ABSOLUTELY STOCK and all original. . . . . . . investment note: from what I understand these Bentley and Rolls Royce cars from this era (pre VW / BMW buyout) are steadily rising in value . . .real RR / Bentley enthusiasts would never buy a VW / BMW era car . . .calling them "not true" Bentleys and Rolls Royces . . . This is the letter the chauffeur wrote : To the buyer of this beautiful automobile. . . .I would appreciate very much if you can give this car the care we accustomed to give her, a regular bath at least twice a week, always in a fully air conditioned garage, say good morning to her and so on. let she (sic) feels as she is if she is a human being ,the only time she sees the sun is if she's on the road, always well kept which you will see . . . "The Driver" reason I am selling. . . . . I have been chasing a 1976 Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible . . . a local elderly man has owned it since 76' and I have been trying to buy it for the past 15 years . .a year or so ago he contacted me about selling it. . .we worked out a price . . and in the 11th hour he changed his mind. . . .so....I ended up buying this Bentley . . . .. NOW he contacted me and is finally ready to sell it. . . . . . option: I was going to change the grill to the popular Bentley mesh grill . . .I located a NEW OLD STOCK Bentley mesh grill (never used - made by Bentley/Rolls Royce not an aftermarket ) . . .I paid $800 for it . . . .I will include it for $500 if you want it. . . . DONT BE AFRAID. . . . .if you shop ebay or other online venues you can buy parts for a Bentley or a Rolls Royce for the same price as a Honda . . FOR INSTANCE. . . .if you buy a tail light from the dealer . .they are $1,800 . . . . there are aftermarket places that have them for $900 (used). . . .go to www.car-part.com I found one for $300. . . .also I have found that Bentleys of this era are relatively easy to work on. and ANY good tech can put the parts in. the components that were "known issues" that went bad were already done. . . .1) the brake accumulators we already done - THE BRAKES ARE PERFECT ON THIS CAR - there are NO issued with the brakes - the infamous "brake pressure" lights go off moments after car is started . . . 2) suspension was serviced is fine . . . 3) fuel rail gaskets - I had these replaced - no issues . . . . . vin is SCBZE11C1TCX57325 . . . .GARAGE KEPT SINCE NEW . . . the only issues with this car are minor issues. . .the power antenna does not work . .two of the taillight lenses are cracked (I located two online and can give you the number of the person selling them - $300). . . the electric locks dont work, they just work manually . . . . the exterior is British Racing Green with Magnolia Leather interior, the leather is in AMAZING condition . . . . . .INTERIOR IS LIKE BRAND NEW . . . . . . SMELLS LIKE A BRAND NEW BENTLEY . . . .runs and drives great . . .. . . . transmission shifts fine. . .and the engine runs excellent (starts instantly and runs smooth and maintains proper temperature), car was NEVER SMOKED in (lighter and ashtray unused) . . . has set of factory Bentley floor mats in the trunk. . . .there MIGHT be a small ding, scrape, dent . . .maybe tiny amount of wear, tear, touch ups, and flaws . . . .as you can see from the photos the paint is and the interior is beautiful . . .car was NOT detailed or cleaned up . . . just hand washed before photos. This 1996 Bentley Brooklands is valued somewhere in the $55,000-$58,000 range if you average different on-line value guides . . . .it was almost $160,000 when new. . . . we had car fully insured at a $40,000 stated value for $1,200 for the year . . . . featured an 8-cylinder engine, automatic transmission, a/c (blows cool) - p/s - p/b - p/locks p/win - am-fm-cd with 6-disc changer - power windows all work and power locks do not work. . . .we have all the owners books and manuals and a few service records. . . . .has original TOOL KIT. . .spare has same alloy as rest of car. . . . it also has original jack kit and wheel lock tool. . . . I think a fair price is $9500 to start . . . . and selling NO RESERVE. It has a clear Florida title and bill of sale - OVERALL this is a great car . . . . .
