Vehicle Detail
1979 CJ 7 This was bought as a project, and due to a few too many irons in the fire and an unexpected death in the family it's up for sale today. After we purchased it we installed a new exhaust, ignition, pedal pads, turn signal switch, and power steering fluid lines. That's about where our time to work on it ended. So rather than have it sit and go to waste I'm offering it here. This is a project, please understand that. The jeep runs, but lately, because it's sat so much, it runs rough and can take a couple of attempts to start. I'm not a mechanic but I think that its in need of a carb adjustment as well as a new fuel filter. Obviously you can see the paint is far from perfect, there is typical Jeep rust and some dents and dings. The tires are 31" and in good shape. It has a bikini top only, in good shape. Since we've owned it, it's only been driven around our farm land, not on the roads. I'd recommend a mechanic check it out for road worthiness since its been on farm only for a couple of years. It comes with doors that do not fit it, they are made for a CJ 5, but you're welcome to them if you want. I'm sure you could sell or trade them. We never felt the need for doors, that's the fun of the Jeep. Various gauges don't work, such as the gas gauge, but shockingly enough the wipers DO work which is pretty rare on the older Jeeps. Please review the photos, email any questions and I'll do my best to answer them to the best of my ability. While I will ship this Jeep (at your cost) I really prefer that you come see it for yourself prior to auctions close. Here is the Nada values for this Jeep. Because it's in need of work it is priced very close to the low retail price, even though we have more in it than that. Sold as is, where is, all sales final, no warranty expressed or implied. It's an old Jeep, and it needs someone who wants to tinker and keep working toward making this whatever you want it to be.
