Awesome vintage 1978 Porsche 928, guards red. This is the first year of production for this model which was the first time Porsche put a motor in the front of their cars. This car has a V-8, fuel injected with a 5 speed manual transmission. Aluminum stock wheels and new tires. When I found this beauty, it had been stored in a warehouse for the last 15 years. The body and paint are in exceptional condition. No rust anywhere!!! (Most of the car is aluminum)... No rust in or on the frame or floorboards. This car was in California all of it's drivable life. I have a clean title for her. This car was bought with the idea of a nice winter project. My wife has different ideas... We just bought a new home, so my extra time will now be consumed with "those" kind of projects this winter... This car runs and drives but needs some mechanical attention besides interior attention. On the mechanical side: it needs a new clutch, pressure plate and throw-out bearing. The lights and other electrical items need to be addressed as well. The interior needs to be cleaned, new carpet and tucked-in here and there. There are no rips in the seats but the dash has the age appropriate cracks in it. All in all this little car is a gem!!! It still high retails for $12,000 in the NADA, besides it uniqueness!!! I have $4,100 invested in her and need to find her a new home pretty soon.
