Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1972 Chevy Cheyenne Super C-20 pickup truck. I have owned this truck for about two years, it has been a great pickup. When I got it the 402 big block had just been rebuilt buy the previous owner, who owned it for the previous 15 years. I bought the truck and drove it around daily, it runs really nice and goes down the road really smooth. I had it painted this spring back to the original yellow and white two tone colors. I also had the lower trim repainted black at the same time. The paint made a huge difference on the truck, it still needs cut and buffed but it looks awesome how it sits, probably why I never took it back to have it buffed. After I had the paint done I took it in and had a Superliner bed liner in metallic charcoal sprayed in the bed which cleaned it up really nice. I also took the truck in and had a brand new windshield and gasket installed after the paint. The seat is in great shape, it was re-upholstered at some point in its life, and I installed new carpet after I got the truck painted. This truck has a tilt wheel which wasn't a very common option back then, and it also has factory air conditioning that WORKS!!! I just had it re charged($$$) and it blows ice cold!! There is also a two knob style stereo with a cassette player in the truck with two speakers that work good. I have the factory wheels off the truck if you would like them, I put the chrome ones on after I had it painted, it made it look really nice. All the lights and the blinkers work great, as do all the gauges and electrical stuff. This truck is really fun to drive, it is so smooth and just cruises right down the road, I always get lots of looks while I am driving it. It has dual tanks and both tanks work, and show levels on the fuel gauge. I hate to sell this truck, especially because I finally have it exactly how I want it, but I have some other projects I have to finish so I have to sell this one to fund the others. Email me or call or text if you have any more questions about the truck, 208-589-9783. John On Sep-19-13 at 23:52:44 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had quite a few of the same questions so I thought I would post them so everyone knew. First I have been asked quite a bit what the rear end ratio is? The identification plate is gone from the glove box lid, but from what I can tell it has a 3.73 gear ratio, if it had 4.11's it would run higher RPM's going down the highway. The other question has been how are the body mounts under the cab? I got under there and took a good look and they are in good shape, not rusted out, there is rust build up under the truck(it's 41 years old!) but the mounts are not rusted through. The only real serious rust I could see while under the truck was on the drivers side cab corner, where the bed and the cab line up, there is some rust through right there but you can only see it from under the truck, you can't see it at all from outside the truck. And last thing has been questions on the paint. Out of the people that have came and looked at the truck all but two thought the paint looked great, the other two said they would want to get the truck cut and buffed. Like I said before, the truck isn't perfect its 41 years old, but it is a real solid, great running, good looking truck that should serve it's new owner well for years to come!
