Vehicle Detail
You are viewing my beautiful 1970 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, that was restored just a few years back. This has been a Southern car it's entire life from what I've been told by the previous owners. It is numbers matching with it's original small block 350 engine (badged like a LT-1 with an LT-1 hood...much better looking than the standard hood!) mated to it's 4 speed manual transmission. Factory ignition shielding is in place. Mileage shows as 21,474 but I'm sure has rolled over once. The car is a beautiful Cortez Silver with Black interior. It looks so much better in person than it does in these photos! Great body lines and gaps! The entire interior is quite nice with very little to no wear. Carpets are nice both in the front and in the rear tray area. Straps for the t-tops are present and I have the vinyl covers as well. I also have the original factory radio in a box that will also come with the car. Within the past few weeks I have put brand new tires on the front, a new caliper in the rear, new master cylinder for the brakes, had the carb rebuilt, a new fuel pump & sending unit, and new plugs. Perfect ride height, low and aggressive (not all jacked up in the back like when someone puts on new leaf springs that didn't know what they were doing!). The car was repainted a few years ago when it was restored and it still looks fresh and shiny, with very minor imperfections that are expected from a "driver". There is a small "C" shaped ding in the paint on the top of the rear deck where a small can fell on it (local paint guys said they can match and blend for less than $200, I just didn't get around to it because it never bothered me that much). All body, door, and window seals were replaced when restoration was done and are still very nice. All glass is nice, with removable rear glass window. Obviously this is a t-top car, and the tops are in great condition inside and out. Appears to have never been in any kind of accident. All chrome is nice. Rally wheels look great. The car runs great and drives down the road nice and straight, and stops on a dime with no weird pulling. Shifts nice with no crunching of synchros. This is a reliable car that will give you years of enjoyment and I would not hesitate to drive any distance. Engine runs cool even on very hot Myrtle Beach days! A/C needs a recharge, but everything is there. Has roll up windows, tilt & tele steering wheel, power brakes but no power steering. Fiber optics work. Dash "seat belt" warning light works and turns off with push of the dash button. "Brake" light works when parking brake is set. Headlights operate as they should both up and down, and low & high beams work as well as turn signals. Wiper door actuates (opens and closes) when starting the car in it's test mode, but wipers will not turn on...never really looked into this because car is not driven in the rain...could be as simple as a fuse. Underside of the car is very clean with no rust or scaling to speak of. Beautiful frame and birdcage. Newer exhaust. Basically this car has only been driven a few thousand miles since it was restored, and has ALWAYS been garage kept. This is a beautiful example that will make any owner proud. I am a private collector slowly trying to thin down my collection of classic muscle cars and exotics. Had 15, now down to 11, trying (forced by wife LOL) to get down to 6. I will miss this sweet ride. Ask any and all questions PRIOR to bidding. Also, make sure to have your finances in line BEFORE bidding. I am not a bank, I will not wait for you to get a loan, ask your preacher, get your wife's permission, etc... I expect the winning bidder to contact me immediately after winning with their contact info (full name & phone numbers so we can arrange payment and pick up/shipping intentions). I recently sold one of my Lotus Turbo Esprit's on here and the first winner never contacted me so I had to re-list it. That wastes time and money people, so I ask you kindly to NOT waste my time. Full payment is expected AND required within 5 business days from auction close. NO EXCEPTIONS. Sorry, not interested in any trades either. Only selling to thin my collection down to a more manageable number. My Vette is for sale locally as well so feel free to make an offer. Listing "may" end early due to that reason. Don't let this gorgeous Vette slip away from you. These are ONLY going UP in value and this is a NICE one! This is a No Reserve Auction...last bid wins! Bid high & bid often! Thanks for looking and happy bidding! On Sep-14-13 at 06:13:09 PDT, seller added the following information: As the listing states this car is badged to look like an LT-1 with an LT-1 hood, but it is a base model. Matching numbers engine block is stamped V0324CTD and 709409052. I thought I was clear when I listed the engine specs in the details and put that it was an "LT-1 appearance" car in the description but I'm getting a few questions that are making me think potential buyers think its a actual LT-1, and it is not. Just want to make sure there's no confusion. It is a beautiful car and was nicely restored just a few years ago. Thanks and happy bidding.
