First off let me state that I am not a dealer. I am a gearhead I have been doing restorations of cars and motorcycles for fun and profit for over 30 years. I have talked to people and ask them to be honest and driven 500 miles each way only to find that the person I was talking to was nothing more than a liar. The 62 Ford Ranchero is a falcon base ,forerunner of the Mustang, it was a Colorado car as far as I know I bought it from and guy in Canyon city .the original color was for forest ranger green. .The car appears to have been restored in the early 90s based on the color and it had some very minor rust spots around the rear fender wells .the car was a three on the tree .'s I did the second restoration of the car four years ago in a silver to tone. The interiors in good shape, the dash has never been cut to Hold an 8-track. ,It has been fitted with an aftermarket stereo that looks factory and has MP3 input. The dashboard has never never been cut. The original 177 engine was kind of hard to the lug around and second gear so the car has been refitted with the 200 CID six-cylinder out of a 67 Mustang. also new motor mounts The radiator is new the car does not overheat. It has new brakes and rebuilt wheel cylinders and then replace some front end parts the taillight lenses have been replaced as a pair so they match. All the body parts are correct for 62, all the locks work with one key, it has good tires all around. car handles well car drives straight and stops well. even with the smaller wheel it steers easily and yes I do have the horn button. it has a minor howl in the rear at 70 miles per hour .I converted it to a floor shifter with the kit I bought on eBay .I don't particularly like the action it works but it could feel better. It would be easy to convert it back to three on the tree or the local Mustang shop here in town quoted me $800 for a tow and installation and supply C4 transmission as in a Mustang .I drove the car daily for work ,it was dependable and got me about 20 mpg. Car has been parked for the last two years due to illness. The gas gauge does not work probably a sending unit and the 4 'knobs' on the dashboard are easily replaceable and the parts are at Dearborn Classics for about 35 bucks .a sending unit is about $75. I have installed triple gauges set for volts's oil pressure and watertemp. Car has good oil pressure does not overheat and has plenty of torque in second this gear. the floors were sound the rocker panels are good the front fenders are good. It's a sweet looking good running car that attracts more attention than the restored 66 Mustang I also had . The car is painted with a two-stage polyurethane with clear coat. There was minor rust around the rear wheel wells that I repaired it has been four years and there are a few small bubbles starting to show the rust was. there is also a 2" scratch on the drivers door I do have the original paint I used and or the empty can so they can be matched perfectly. if you have low feedback or negative feedback please contact me before bidding . please do not hesitate to call me reasonable hours mountain TimeZone and I will attempt to answer any question you have as honestly as I can so you don't waste your time or mine. again my name is Peter my my phone number is 720325 0001 .
