This vehicle is being sold AS IS with NO WARRANTY!! The vehicle was seized by the Frederick County Narcotics Task Force in April of 2012 and is being sold "at auction" per policy. There is no "Buy it Now" price and no trades because our seized property must be sold by auction. The vehilce is for local pick up only or the buyer must arrange for delivery. The vehicle is a 1998 BMW Presidential Series with automatic transmission. The engine is a 5.4 liter, 328 cubic inch V12. The vehicle has many features including power door locks, power windows, power seats, sunroof, air conditioning and cruise control. It has memory seats in the front and heated seats in both the front and back seats. The interior is leather and in good condition. It has an AM/FM cassette radio as well as a CD player. The front seat area has dual temperature controls and a navigational system display. There is a "BMW" car phone in the center console of the vehicle. The vehicle also includes a storage area with a first aid kit in the center back seat headrest area. The center seat also has some type of storage bag in it. The tires appear to be in good condition. They are Continental ContiProContac tires 235/60 R16 100H. There is a full size spare in the trunk. The battery compartment is in the trunk however the battery is dead and will need to be charged or replaced. There is also a tool kit built into the bottom of the trunk that folds down when needed (see picture). The big issue with this vehicle is the odometer pixels. They go in and out and are difficult to see or read sometimes. The mileage on the title obtained by the Sheriff's Office says 141,388 and the last reading before this post was 143,949. We have another document that shows a mileage of 148,007 from July of 2011. I have no idea where the numbers came from or which is correct other than to say that since its seizure in April of 2012, we have driven it less than 100 miles. I checked again today and the mileage is 143,949. Other issues with the BMW include a cracked back bumper, electric tape on the driver sideview mirror, missing a piece of trim inside the drivers door and small paint discoloration by the rear license plate holder. There are pictures of all of this attached. The vehicle was seized from a repair shop and the receipt from that shop is available. According to them, the vehilce needs a tune up and there is an issue with the wipers. A fan clutch assembly was replaced along with the crankcase vent valves and radiator mount brackets. It was at the shop for a check engine light which still comes on. I believe these are the only issues but I am a cop, not a mechanic so if you would like to look at the vehicle for yourself, please contact me.
