*** MINT condition 1971 chevelle SS 454 Big Block*** RUNS FANTASTIC (STATE INSPECTION IS UP TO DATE) - We had purchased this absolutely immaculate ALL original 1971 chevelle SS LS5 454 from private dealer, Mark Young of "The Chevy Connection" for $62,000 on November of 2011. Specifications: - Came with Original Build Sheets - Clear Ohio Certificate Of Title- 15,697 original miles- # matching M22 4 speed transmission - 12 bolt posi re-arend -"ZL2" Cowl induction package - "F41" suspension - Power steering/ power disc brakes- factory tachometer & gauges- Factory AM/FM - Bucket Seats - Center Console, Black Vinyl top and interior - Original Rally wheels with goodyear polyglas tires- finished in Nevada Silver with Black hood and deck stripes (Originally built in Baltimore GM assembly plant on september 9, 1970) ***Original Documentation will be provide along with the car*** After receiving the chevelle we installed a small Variety of new accessories as well as a brand new High performance engine with a 5-speed transmission kit: NEW SPECS/ INSTALLMENTS: - Acquired A brand new High performance Chevy BIG BLOCK 454 engine from Pro-formance Unlimited -Chevy 454-475 HP Crate Engine - fully seasoned Gen VI 454 4 bolt main chevy block - Block was then painted with 3 coats of high temp ceramic paint "Red" - Eagle cast steel crank shaft - Eagle I-beam connecting rods with ARP bolts - High performance pistons and edelbrock intake manifolds( RPM) -Clevite P series rod and main bearing - Performance rings hand filed to match application. ARP main bolts. Rotating assembly is balanced. Comp Cams custom roller performance camshafts. Roller lifters. Three piece double roller timing set.*****UPGRADED*** (shown below)-**Edelbrock Rectangular port aluminum performance cylinder heads**. 7/16 screw in studs and hardened guide plates. Manley chrome moly push rods. Performance roller rockers. Melling high volume oil pump and screen. Painted oil pan. Dip stick and tube. GM Aluminum timing cover. Performance balancer. Fel-pro gaskets. ***ANOTHER UPGRADE**- Edelbrock performance rectangular port aluminum intake manifold**. Chrome thermostat housing.**UPGRADE**-Holley Carburetor w/ electric choke. Chrome air cleaner. MSD Pro-billet distributor. MSD 6AL ignition control. Auto-lite spark plugs. Water pump. Chrome Breather. Flex Plate ( for auto trans). **March performance pulley kit: Polished aluminum crankshaft, Polished aluminum water pump pulley, Polished aluminum alternator pulley, Polished aluminum power steering pulley, Polished Aluminum AC pulley. CNC machined polished aluminum alternator bracket. CNC machined polished aluminum power steering bracket. CNC machined polished aluminum AC bracket.-110 amp one wire alternator. power steering pump. Polished aluminum Ac compressor. **A serpentine Belt to match Application.- Tremec TKO 600 transmission kit: TKO 600 transmission. Ford racing bellhousing. Ford racing clutch fork and cable assembly. Ford racing clutch kit. Ford racing throw out bearing. Flywheel. MSD 6AL Control Box part #6425. - MSD MINI High Torque starter - MSD Blaster HI-VIBRTN COIL- MSD COIL BRACKET UNIVERSAL- Edelbrock chrome VC Chev 454- Taylor cable Spiro- pro 8MM Univ Red- 14" Air cleaner - ABD 750 Holley Carburetor Maintenance/ further additions: - new air filter. New distributor cap and Rotor. Replaced rear differential pinion seal. Adjusted carb and timing. Brand new AC Kit (AC duct and deflector assembly). Replaced sender unit of fuel tank. Installed new radio and speakers ( head unit: 6x9 & ipod dock, Battery post and adapters for subwoofer, 3 & 1/2" install kit) . New clutch return spring. Flex-a-lite duel electric cooling fan. Replaced front brake calipers,pads , hardware, rotors, wheel bearings grease seals and lube guides. Installed cooling system overflow tank and electric vacuum pump for brake boost. - New shift lever and tunnel patch. New Duel friction clutch kit 1 1/8" 26 spline. Clutch release bearing & pivot Ball. Adjustable upper control arms, rear suspension. 2x K5161 control arm bushing set. Coil spring rear set. Reshaped shifter bulge in floor, making template for tunnel modifications and rejeted carburetor/ changing power valve 74-35 (Ultimately adjusted for performance and economy). American Powertrain Profit 5-speed transmission kit (w/ slightly extended/ angled hurst shifter) $37,540 later, this amazing chevelle SS 454 W/ THE NEW ENGINE INSTALLED was dino tested, reaching 564.1 HP!! Not only is it a smooth, tranquil ride with great gas mileage.
