Vehicle Detail
wrenchhead28 store I am selling this BMW R75/5 airhead project. It is a barn find, but yes I have the matching title. As you can see from the images it is kind of a basket case right now. I just took the pics so what you see is what you get. The motor turns over. When I purchased it the front end was missing, so I purchased a set of the original forks, a replacement front wheel and an axle. I also acquired a black front fender to go with it. It would make a unique bobber or chopper if one wanted to go down that path. The engine turns over and of course it will need restoration. It is missing the Fuel tank, sidecovers and the subframe for the back. These parts were missing when I purchased the project. There will probably be other missing pieces but these parts are readily available on ebay. This appears to be the short wheel base bmw slash five. Also as you can see from the pic the backbone appears to be curved. I was told when I purchased the project the front end was missing because someone used the front end on another bike. I believe it took a hit in the front which bent the tube. I also think this would be an easy fix, however there are straight frames available for 150 bucks on ebay right now. Many of the parts from the r65/5 and the r50/5 also fit this bike. The parts I acquired were for an original restoration. It would be just as easy to barter some of the parts for a disc brake front end and maybe stick some harley davidson parts on it. Make it something different than what is out there now. If you need shipping I can work with you. I can load it with a forklift if necessary but we will need to communicate about this prior to making any pickup arrangements. Presently it is stored in a hangar which has a hoist, I can move it onto a pallet and ratchet it down if necessary. I would prefer local pickup however. If you have any questions please feel free to email.
