1956 Pontiac star Chief, the vehicle runs and drives, here is a link to a couple of YouTube videos of the car running and being taken around a few corners to show its mechanical condition. The car has 51,000 original miles, neither the engine or transmission has ever been removed near had a need. The car has been well maintained mechanically. Interior needs work, there are a few busted seams that may be able to be repaired. The floor pan’s are solid as is the rest of the body, frame is solid. No body collision damage, the car has never been in an accident. The bumpers do need re-chroming. the car is not far from being finished, all it needs is someone who understands older cars. the tires are old 4 ply tires that. There is a cd player in the glove box. the original ivory key am radio is still in the dash and as far as i know needs a few bulbs to work. the car has power steering and yes it does have air conditioning and heat, which still works. i drive this car usually around 3 times a year to cruises and car shows but not too much to keep the miles low. brakes work, windshield wipers have been recently replaced and you have to add lead (or lead substitute) to the gas. the engine is a 316 v8 with a 3 speed hydra-matic transmission. no leaks no smoking (unless you mix the lead wrong).
