Vehicle Detail
You'll see alot of 60's vintage Cadys out there and and believe me, they are NOT all equal - even though they may be in the same zone pricing wise. This car is the top of the heap in the driver class of classic cars. $40,000 has gone into this restoration. It runs great and is very solid. There are no uneven motor sounds or anything coming from the engine that would lead you to have pause. It's simply a great car. Here is a list of the major improvements, for which I have all the receipts. Engine rebuiltTransmission rebuiltEngine rewiredCarburator rebuiltPremium radial tiresNew Top, rear windowNew motor, lines and hydrolic pistons for topNew nylon interior. In 1964, there were 143 different interior combinationsGenuine GM After market AC that blows nice and cold. Compressor designed specifically for this add on. New brakesNew floorsNew paint. Bumpers, chrome, doorhandles, everything was removed, body sanded down to bare metal, any surface rust was removed, then primed and painted with original GM color specs.New front and back speakersThe list goes on. The car, as nice as it is, is not perfect, of course, otherwise I'd be asking $80,000 instead of $19,500. There is a very slow leak in the power steering gearbox, around one of the seals. I add about 1 ounce of fluid about once a month. At some point you may want to replace this, but if you don't, just keep some power steering fluid in the trunk, hell, the old gal's 50, and wants to make you happy for under 20 grand! You should be in such good shape at that age! Also, the radio recently stopped working and there are the "to be expected" blemishes here and there.
